Caernarfon Castle
Caernarfon Castle is as old as it is impressive and also has a few surprises too.
Part of the Iron ring of Castles built by King Edward the 1st, Caernarfon was to be the jewel in the Crown. Edward was to use this impressive castle as his seat of power in the area. Its not hard to see why as you approach the castles imposingly high walls. Caernarfon has a certain wow factor and its location certainly helps. It is located at the end of the Afon Seiont that opens up in the Menai. The castle sits on the edge with awesome views over to Anglesey and the local area.
In our opinion Caernarfon Castle is one of if not the greatest castle in North Wales. As you approach the castle you cant help but be impressed and in awe of its huge walls.
